Ingredients:
Ingredients:
1- 14oz. bag of caramels
(Halloween is best to get these)
1/3 c. margarine
2 c. pecan halves (about 3 small packages)
1-10oz. semi-sweet chocolate or 2.5 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips

Directions:
Directions:
Melt caramels with butter over medium-low heat. Arrange 4 pecans on a baking sheet so ends match in a spoke position. Drop caramel mixture from a teaspoon into the centre. Let Cool.

Melt chocolate and spread over the clusters. Cool.
Keep in refrigerator. Let stand 15 minutes at room temperature before serving.
These freeze well.

To make Bear paws put pecans into a shape like bear paw with some broken pecans in center of paw and use more caramel mixture to cover leaving pecans as claws sticking out.

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
We have made these turtles lots for Christmas in the past. They disappear quickly so we started tripling the recipe to make bear paws. They are larger and go over really well:)
