1 cup sugar
1 cup flour
1 tsp soda
1/4 tsp. salt
2 cups drained fruit cocktail
1 beaten egg,

Directions:
Directions:
Sift sugar, flour, soda and salt together add fruit cocktail, and beaten egg, mix well Pour into greased 9x9 pan. Mix 1 cup brown sugar and 1/2 cups nuts sprinkle over top. Bake 1 hour 20 minutes at 300 degrees

This was a favorite of my Grandma Ruth Schneckloth's and my mom made it quite often. We would serve with a dollop of cool whip.
