3 c. soft bread cubes, use 4 c. if you want it firmer
2 c. milk scalded with 1/4 c. butter
1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs, slightly beaten
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon or nutmeg
1/2 c. raisins or dates

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º for 40-45 min.

Place bread cubes in 1 1/2 qt. greased baking dish.
Blend remaining ingredients and pour over top.

Place dish in pan of hot water - 1" deep.
Put in oven.
