2/3 cup butter
3 squares unsweetened chocolate
1 1/2 cups sifted flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
3 large eggs
2 cups sugar
1/2 cup +1 tablespoon Kahlúa
3/4 cup chopped walnuts or pecans

Preheat oven to 350° and grease a 9"x9" baking pan. Melt the butter and chocolate in a small saucepan over very low heat. Let cool slightly. Sift together flour, baking powder, salt and set aside. Beat eggs with sugar until light. Stir in chocolate mixture and 1/2 cup Kahlúa, then add the flour mixture and blend. Stir in the nuts. Pour batter into prepared pan and bake 30 minutes. When brownies have cooled, brush the top with the remaining 1 tablespoon of Kahlúa.
