1/2 cup slivered almonds
3 Tblsp. sugar
1 head romaine lettuce
1 head iceberg lettuce
1 cup chopped celery
4 or 5 green onions, chopped
1 can (11 oz.) mandarin oranges-drained

DRESSING
1/2 tsp. salt
dash pepper
1/4 cup vegetable oil
1 Tblsp. chopped parsley
2 Tblsp. sugar
2 Tblsp. apple cider vinegar

Directions:
Directions:
Cook almonds and 3 Tblsp. sugar over medium heat stirring constantly until almonds are coated & sugar dissolves. Watch carefully as they burn easily. Cool and store in an airtight container.
Mix all dressing ingredients & chill. Mix lettuce, celery, and onions. Arrange oranges on top of lettuce mixture. Just before serving add almonds. Shake the dressing up and toss salad mixture with the dressing. Enjoy!
