1 Cup Softened Butter
1/2 Cup Powdered Sugar
2 1/2 Cups Flour
1 Tsp Vanilla
1 14 oz Package Kraft Caramels
1/4 Cup Milk
2 Tbsp Water
Finely Chopped Nuts (Any Kind)
Round Toothpicks

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º degrees.

Start by creaming the butter, then add the sugar and vanilla and beat well. Add flour and beat until dough forms or mix by hand. Shape into small balls and bake on ungreased cookie sheets for 15 to 20 minutes until golden brown. Put a toothpick in the center of each cookie as soon as they are taken out of the oven, while they are still warm.

Melt the caramels, milk and water together in a double boiler until smooth. Dip each cookie in the caramel mixture (let excess drip off) then roll in nuts. Put into small paper cups.

Yields 2 1/2 to 3 dozen cookies.
