2-3 lbs round steak-thinly sliced and in 3-4" wide strips
salt & pepper
Bacon
sliced onions
cooking string
flour
1 lg bay leaf

Directions:
Directions:
Take one piece of beef. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. place 1 slice of bacon on top. Add sliced onions. Roll into a roll and tie with string. Dip in flour and brown on all sides. Put rolls into a pan and fill with water to just cover meat and a drop or two of oil. Add 1 lg bay leaf (for 8 rolls) Simmer 1 hour. Remove string before serving. make gravy with remaining water, after cooking.
