1/2 c soft shortening (half butter)
1/2 c peanut butter
1/2 c granulated sugar
1/2 c brown sugar (packed)
1 egg
1 1/4 c flour
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 tsp baking powder
3/4 tsp soda

Directions:
Directions:
1) Mix thoroughly the shortening, peanut butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar and egg.

2) Measure into sifter the flour, salt, baking powder and soda.

3) Stir dry ingredients into the sugar mixture.

4) Chill

5) Heat oven to 375ºF.

6) Roll dough into balls the size of large walnuts. Place 3" apart on cookie sheet. Flatten with fork dipped flour making criss cross patterns.

7) Bake for 10-12 minutes.
