1 cup flour
1/2 cup sugar
1 tsp. baking powder
Dash of salt
1 Tbsp. Butter
1/2 cup cold water
1 cup canned cherries (or other berry), drained (saving juice)
3/4 cup sugar (or more for taste)
1 Tbsp. Butter
1 1/2 cup cherry juice and water

Directions:

Mix together first 6 ingredients. ( If you use self-rising flour, omit salt and baking powder.) Heat cherries, water, juice, sugar and butter. When boiling, pour cherries and liquid over dough. Bake 350º for 30 minutes. Dough will come to the top and brown.
