8oz cream cheese, softened
1/2 c. butter, softened
4 c. powdered sugar
1 tbsp milk
1 tsp vanilla or almond extract

For chocolate cream cheese frosting: add 1/3 c. unsweetened cocoa powder to above ingredients.

Beat cream cheese and butter until smooth. Gradually add powdered sugar, milk and vanilla; beat until creamy.
