2 lbs. round steak or chuck roast
flour
1 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
1/4 cup oil
1/2 cup chopped onion
2 (16 oz.) cans stewed tomatoes

Directions:
Directions:
Pound flour into both sides of meat with the edge of a heavy plate or mallet. Heat oil in skillet and add onion. Sauté. Sear meat in oil and add tomatoes. Place all in casserole, cover and cook in slow oven at 275º for 2 hours or until meat is tender. Remove steak to hot platter. Strain the drippings and thicken them with flour. Pour gravy over the steak.
