5 medium apples
1 tbsp baking powder
1 egg
dash of salt
2 c. flour
1/4 c. sugar
2 tbsp vegetable oil
1 c. milk

Directions:
Directions:
Peel and core apples. Slice into 1/4 inch slices. Set aside. Blend together flour, baking powder,salt, sugar, egg, oil and milk. Batter should be smooth and of good dropping consistency. Add more milk if necessary.
Dip apples into batter and put into very hot oil. Fry quickly on both sides in 1/2 inch or more of hot oil. When golden brown on both sides remove from oil. Drain on paper towel. While hot sprinkle with a mixture of cinnamon and sugar.
