2 1/4 c sifted all purpose flour
3/4 c sugar
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp baking powder
1 c shortening
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla
Directions:
Directions:
Sift flour, sugar, salt and baking powder into a bowl. blend and cut shortening into the mixture until it is in fine lumps. Measure egg (add water if needed) to 1/4 c. Add egg and vanilla and beat well. Place mixture into cookie press or cookie maker. Press cookies out onto lightly greased baking sheet and decorate with sugar, sprinkles, etc. before baking. Bake at 375º for 10 - 12 minutes.
