3/4 C. Jif creamy peanut butter
1/2 C. shortening
1 1/4 C. brown sugar
3 tbsp milk
1 tbsp vanilla
1 egg
1 3/4 C. flour
3/4 tsp baking soda
3/4 tsp salt

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven 375ºF. Combine peanut butter, shortening, brown sugar, milk and vanilla in large bowl. Beat at medium speed with electric mixer until well blended. Add egg. Beat just until blended. Combine flour, soda and salt. Add to creamed mixture at low speed. Mix just until blended. Drop by rounded tablespoon 2 inches apart on greased cookie sheet. Flatten slightly in a crisscross pattern with tines of fork. Bake one sheet at a time for 7-8 minutes or until set or just turning brown. Cool 2 minutes on baking sheet. Remove to cooling rack.
Makes 3 Dozen.
