2 1/2 to 3 lb frying chicken (pieces)
1/2 cup flour
1 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
1/3 cup oil
Sauce:
1/2 cup cider vinegar
3 Tbsp brown sugar
1/3 cup chopped gherkins
1 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 Tbsp catsup

Directions:
Directions:
Combine flour and salt and pepper in paper bag and wash then shake the chicken in the bag, then brown in the oil. Mix the sauce and then dip the browned chicken in the sauce. Put the dipped chicken skin side up in a 13x9 inch backing dish. Pour the remaining sauce over chicken. Cover with foil and bake for 30 min at 350º. Baste with sauce from pan and bake uncovered for an additional 15 min. Enjoy!

I grew up eating this and passed it on to our kids-all when frying was in vogue! Oh well, it's still GOOD!
