Mexican Kahlua Pie Recipe

CRUST:
1 1/4 cups crushed double-filling Oreo cookies, divided
6 tablespoons butter, melted
1/2 cup nuts, finely chopped
 
FILLING:
1 quart coffee ice cream
1 pint whipping cream
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/3 cup Kahlua liqueur
4 Heath bars, crushed
1/4 cup crushed cookies, whipped cream, and chocolate shavings for garnish

Crush cookies, using a food processor. Add melted butter and nuts, and pat into large greased pie pan.
Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes. Cool completely.

FILLING:
Soften ice cream. Whip cream, adding vanilla and Kahlua. Gently fold crushed candy bars into whipped cream. Gently combine the two mixtures.
Pour into shell and freeze. Remove from freezer 15 minutes before serving. Garnish with 1/4 c. crushed cookies and whipped cream and chocolate shavings.
