12 oz. loaf French bread cut into thick slices
2 tsp. vanilla
8 large eggs
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1 cup milk
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1 cup cream

Caramel Topping:
1/2 c. soft butter
3 tblsp. dark Karo syrup
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup chopped pecans

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º. Heavily butter 9x13 inch pan. Layer bread to within 1/2" of the top. Set aside. In a blender, mix eggs, milk, cream, vanilla and spices. Pour over the bread. Refrigerate over night. Mix up the topping and spread over the bread. Bake for 50 minutes.

You can prepare the night before, cover with plastic wrap and bake the next morning. It may take longer than 50 minutes if you do it this way.
