I don't know how long the tradition has gone, but every fall we visit the apple orchard near Omaha. We usually visit an orchard that lets you pick your own. My family loves to go there and "take off" to find their treasures. We come home with lots of apples. This recipe is delicious and it warms up your tummy and spirits. Enjoy!
