1 egg
1/2 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
1 c. apple sauce
1 c. raisins
1/2 c. chopped walnuts
2 c. flour
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp cloves
Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 400ºF. Cream shortening and sugar together. Add egg vanilla and applesauce. Sift together flour, baking powder, soda salt and spices. Add to wet mixture. Mix well. Add nuts and raisins stirring well. Drop by spoonfuls on greased cookie sheet. bake for 10-15 minutes.
