3 chicken breasts, boned & skinned
6 mushrooms, washed, dried & cut in halves
1/3 cup chopped onions
1 tbsp. lemon juice
Dash salt & pepper
3 tbsp. butter or margarine
1/3 cup red or white wine
1 bay leaf
1/2 tsp. tarragon
1 can ready to serve mushroom soup
1/4 cup breadcrumbs

Directions:
Directions:
Put half the butter and half the wine in a frying pan. Add mushrooms and onions. Brown well. Remove and place in casserole dish. Cut boneless, skinless chicken into serving pieces. Sprinkle with lemon juice. Place in frying pan with remaining butter and wine. brown approximately 10 minutes. Place chicken and liquids from frying pan in casserole. Heat soup in saucepan. Pour over ingredients in casserole. Add bay leaf and tarragon; mix well. Sprinkle with breadcrumbs. Cover and bake in 300ºF oven for 3/4 hour.
