Cake Ingredients

4 oz. package chocolate, or chocolate fudge instant pudding
1 devils food cake mix
1 regular pack chocolate chips, either milk chocolate of semi sweet
1 3/4 cups milk
2 eggs

Icing Ingredients

3 tablespoons butter
3/4 cup white sugar
3 1/2 tablespoons milk
1 tsp. vanilla

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350º

Grease cake pan well,( especially the middle tube thing in the bundt pan).

Place all cake ingredients in a large bowl and mix well for 2 minutes scraping sides and bottom of bowl a couple of times.
Pour into prepared cake pan. Bake 45 to 60 minutes or until toothpick inserted in middle of cake comes out with just a few crumbs.
Cool on wire rack in bundt pan 5 minutes then invert on wire rack to remove cake from pan and let cool completely. Place cake on large serving dish and drizzle with icing.

Bundt Icing

Place all ingredients in a medium pot and cook over medium heat stirring constantly

once mixture comes to a boil continue stirring and let cook for 2 minutes.

Remove from heat, stir in vanilla and drizzle over cake using a large spoon.

This is a favorite recipe of my mother-in-law's that quickly became a favorite with Anne's boys and mine when we got together. The boys like their slice warmed and served with French Vanilla ice cream. Our sister-in-law Deb has created a variety of other recipes from this one including lemon poppy seed cake. Yummy! This cake can also be baked in a 9X13 pan or turned into muffin/cupcakes. Just follow the corresponding baking directions on the boxed cake mix.
