1 cup water
1/2 cup butter
4 eggs
1/2 tsp. salt
1 cup flour

Cream Filling
2 cups milk
3 tbsp. cornstarch
2 tbsp. flour
2/3 cup sugar
5 egg yolks or 1 egg and yolk
1/2 tsp. vanilla
spk. salt

Directions:
Directions:
Heat the butter and water to the boiling point. Add the flour all at once and stir vigorously until the mixture leaves the sides of the pan and clings to the spoon. Remove from the heat and cool slightly. Add the unbeaten eggs, one at a time, beating thoroughly after each addition. Drop by spoonfuls on greased sheet 1 1/2" apart. Shape into rounds about 2" in diameter. Bake.

When ready to use, make a cut in the top of each with a knife and fill wlith cream filling or whipped cream.

Cream Filling:
Mix dry ingredients and add enough milk to make a paste. Scald the rest of the milk and blend with the paste. Stir constantly until thickened. Cook 15 minutes. Blend with beaten eggs and cook a few minutes, stirring all the time. Remove and add vanilla.
