2 cups brown sugar
1 cup cream
1/2 tsp. salt

Directions:
Directions:
Boil until forms soft ball stage when dropped in cold water. Remove from heat and cool slightly and beat until smooth and creamy. Add tsp butter and 1/2 cup walnuts. Very tasty.

Soft ball test consists of using a cup of very cold water and dropping a few drops of boiled mixture into the water then feeling the drops to see if they are soft and holding their shape.
