3/4 c. shortening
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. brown sugar, packed
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking powder
Set aside:
30 chocolate Kisses
60 M&Ms

Directions:
Directions:
Pre-heat oven to 375º. Mix all ingredients together. The dough will be crumbly. Set aside 1/2 of the dough for the ears. Shape the remaining dough into 1 inch balls. Roll balls in sugar and place 3 inches apart on an ungreased cookie sheet. Flatten balls to 1/2 inch thickness. Roll reserved dough into 1/2 inch ball and roll in sugar. Place two smaller balls about 1 inch apart touching each flattened ball. ( This should make the cookies look like little bear faces ) Bake for 10-12 minutes. Immediately press one Kiss and 2 M&Ms into the cookie to look like eyes and noses. Cool for 5 minutes.
