2 large loaves of bread
3 eggs lightly beaten
2 teaspoons vanilla
4 1/2 cups sugar
4 cups raisins

Soak bread in milk overnight, you want your bread to be smooth with no bumps in it. Mix all ingredients together. Melt 2 tablespoons of butter in each bread pan then fill pans to more than half with batter. Bake at 325º for 1 1/2 hours to 3 hours.

This wonderful bread pudding is different in that you bake it in bread pans. You slice it just like bread; it's super moist and delicious. This recipe was Sandy Cook's mother's family recipe. Winnie and Sandy shared this with me. Winnie always baked it for hunting trips.
