1 C Shortening
2 Eggs
3/4 C Sour Milk (use 2-3 Tbls vinegar to sour)
1 tsp soda (dissolve in boiling water)
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 C boiling water
1 1/2 tsp Baking Powder
1 tsp Vanilla
4 1/2 C Flour

Mix together. Refrigerate overnight. Roll out, cut and bake for 10 minutes at 375º

We all remember visiting Grandma (Verna's Grandma)and enjoying her famous cookies!

Grandma always cut theses cookies round and would insert 1 raisin in the middle.
