Ingredients:
Ingredients:
1 lb ground sausage
6 large eggs
2 1/2 cups milk
6 slices white bread
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp(+) pepper
1 cup grated/shredded cheddar cheese (I use 2 cups)

Directions:
Directions:
Brown sausage, drain, and set aside.

The ground sausage should end up crumbled (similar to browned ground beef). If you don't have ground sausage, you could use links or patties instead -- either crumble them before you brown them, or cut them into small slices/cubes after they're cooked.

Beat the eggs in a large bowl. Add the milk, salt, and pepper, and mix well.

Butter the bottom of a 9" x 13" baking dish. Tear the bread into chunks (approximately 1"), and put them in a layer in the bottom of the dish. Add a layer of sausage, then a layer of cheese.

Pour the egg mixture over the top of the bread/sausage/cheese. Cover and refrigerate overnight.

The next morning, preheat the oven to 350 and bake (uncovered) for 45 minutes or until slightly browned on the top.
