Ingredients:  
1 c. raisins cooked in water. (Save 5 T. juice and add 1 t. baking soda).
1 c. sugar
1 c. shortening
2 eggs
1 t. vanilla
1 c. oatmeal
2 c. flour

Directions:
Directions:
Mix sugar & shortening, add eggs and vanilla. Beat and then add raisins & juice with soda; beat again and then add flour. Drop by teaspoon on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 375º for 10 to 15 minutes.
