1/2 cup butter
1 (2 lb pkg) powdered sugar
1 can sweetened condensed milk (14 oz. size)

red or green maraschino cherries--this recipe makes approximately 96

12 oz. package of milk chocolate chips
2/3 bar of paraffin wax

Directions:
Directions:
Drain cherries, Mix softened butter (not melted), powdered sugar and sweetened condensed milk together. (Mix with hands or dough hooks on a mixer).

To cover cherries--roll a small amount of mixture in a ball and then flatten--put cherry in middle and roll together to seal edges. Place on a cookie sheet lined with wax paper. Freeze for at least one hour. Dip frozen cherries into melted milk chocolate using a toothpick or candy dipper.

Melt the chocolate with the wax in a double boiler.

Instead of using cherries, you can also use coconut, dip some with just the plain filling or add maple flavoring to the dough.
