8 Tbsp. Wondra instant flour
1-1/2 milk
1/4 lb. butter
1/2 cup shortening
1 cup powdered sugar
1 tsp. vanilla extract

Directions:
Directions:
In a saucepan, mix together the flour and milk until it thickens. Set aside to cool. In mixing bowl, cream butter until it turns white.

Add the shortening and continue to cream at high speed. Lower speed to medium and add the cooled milk mixture. Using the low speed of mixer, add 1 cup powdered sugar and the vanilla and beat for approximately 15 - 20 minutes until very stiff.

Add additional shortening if the frosting is not stiff enough.
