5 cups white sugar
2 cups water
2 tablespoons clear imitation vanilla extract (can use dark)
2 tablespoons almond extract
You can add 1 cup fruit juice to make punch a different color.

Directions:
Directions:
In a saucepan over medium heat, combine sugar and water. Cook, stirring frequently, until sugar is dissolved. Stir in vanilla and almond extract. Cool, add fruit juice if desire, refrigerate.

To serve: In a punch bowl with crushed ice, mix I cup syrup with 2 liters ginger ale or 7 up.

Note: Syrup can be refrigerated for several months. Store in a bottle or jug so that it will be easier to measure.
