2 sticks butter softened to room temp.
1/2 cup Crisco
3 cups sugar
5 eggs
3 cups flour
1 cup milk
1 tsp. rum extract
1 tsp. coconut extract
1/2 tsp. baking powder

Glaze ingredients
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup water
1 tsp. almond extract

Directions:
Directions:
Combine butter, Crisco and sugar and beat until smooth. Add eggs 1 at a time beating about 1 min.after each addition. Add remaining ingredients and beat until smooth.

Glaze - Let sugar & water come to a boil then add almond extract and allow to cool while cake is baking.

Bake cake in tube pan at 325 deg. for 1 hour & 40 minutes. Remove from pan and brush on glaze until all is used.

This cake is my son's very favorite cake. It keeps well and is a very moist delicious cake.
