1 C Crisco shortening
1 C white sugar
1 C light brown sugar
2 eggs - beaten
1 t vanilla
1 t baking soda
1/2 t salt
1 1/2 C sifted all purpose flour
3 C 3-minute oats

Directions:
Directions:
Mix sugars together. Cream shortening with electric mixer, add sugars gradually and mix well. Add beaten eggs and vanilla and mix well. Remove from electric mixer and stir in flour, soda, and salt that have been sifted together. Stir in oats. Form small balls and place on cookie sheet. Bake @ 375º - 10-15 minutes. Nuts and raisins may be added.
