2 tsp cooking oil
1 onion, diced
2 bunches fresh kale, stems and center ribs discarded and coarsely chopped
2 gloves minced garlic
1 large carrot, chopped
1 (15 oz) can garbanzo beans drained
6 cups chicken broth
1/4 tsp crushed red pepper flakes
salt/pepper to taste
1/2 lb. spicy bulk pork sausage

Directions:
Directions:
Heat oil in large soup pot, Cook onion and kale until kale is soft. Add garlic, carrot and beans and cook together for about 5 minutes. Add chicken broth and seasonings and simmer for at least 20 minutes. Crumble and brown sausage in separate skillet, drain well and add to soup before serving.
