Ingredients: -1 large box elbow macaroni -2 lb bag shredded sharp cheddar cheese -1 small box Velveeta ( cut into cubes) -1/2 stick butter - 3 egg yolks - 2 1/2 cups of milk -4 oz sharp cheddar cheese- for topping -1 tsp oil - salt

Directions:-Preheat oven 350 degrees - Cook macaroni with 1 tsp oil & dash of salt -Drain & rinse -In large saucepan warm milk & butter - Add yolks & stir - Stir in cheddar & cubed Velveeta - Put in 9X13 pan -Sprinkle with 4 oz of sharp cheddar - Bake uncovered about 40 minutes until brown |

Nellie was my manicurist for many years in Atlanta. We lost her to cancer over 6 years ago. Nellie was a black lady originally from Detroit and this was her family recipe. I wa so impressed with it after making it that when I saw a contest for $500 in the Atlanta Journal & Constitution I asked her if I could enter it and would give her the money if she won. THis recipe won the $500 for Mac & Cheese!!
WARNING, please note the amount of cheese etc. Anyone with high cholesterol should avoid or have a phone right next to the dinner table to call 911 if necessary!!!!!!
