2 c. flour
2 heaping Tbsp. shortening
1 dash salt
Water as needed

1 qt. broth (any kind)
Parsley
Bits of meat (same as broth) only about 1 cup

Directions:
Directions:
Mix together flour, shortening and salt with hands. Add water to soften dough. Roll out dough and cut into squares

Place squares of dough into pot of boiling broth. Add parsley and bits of meat to taste.

Simmer for 30 to 45 minutes. Dough will soak up broth and broth will thicken.

This is a traditional meal from St. Paul's of Burkittsville. Everybody there has grown up on it; it's a hearty meal. Every year the church has a Slippery Pot Pie dinner.
