1 1/3 C. plain flour, 1/3 C. sugar, 1/4 t. salt, 2 t baking powder, 3/4 t. nutmeg, 1 T. melted butter, 1 egg, beaten, 1/4 C. milk, 1 C. diced, unpeeled apple. Oil to fry

Directions:
Directions:
Stir dry ingredients, combine with liquids and apples. Drop by large spoonfuls into hot fat and cook 5/7 minutes. This will make seven large fritters. This is a thick batter. Try not to drop smooth spoonfuls as the roughness makes nice uneven crusts. Lift out of grease, drain on paper towel. Roll in cinnamon-sugar mixture.
