Whole Ham - Smithfield or Cooks, 18 to 22 lbs.
1 - 2 lb. bag dark brown sugar
2-3 cans sliced pineapple in natural juice
4 heaping tablespoons yellow mustard
1 med.size jar marischino cherries without stems

Directions:
Remove hard rind from ham and make score marks (criscross) on fat side of ham about 1/8" deep. Place ham in large baking pan fat side up. Bake ham @ 325º for about 1 1/2 hours. Remove ham from oven and remove some of the fat juices from pan and place in a heavy sauce pan. Add brown sugar, pineapple juice and mustard to pot. Cook until syrup is bubbling and thick. Meanwhile, place pineapple slices on ham fastened with wooden toothpicks. Place cherries in the middle of pineapple slices fastened with toothpicks. Baste entire ham with syrup using a turkey baster. Return ham to oven and bake @ 10 minutes intervals. Baste ham every 10 minutes for approximately 1 hour.

If using half ham, be sure to cover cut face of ham with foil to prevent drying out. Cut ingredients list in half and baking time in half.
