3 - egg whites
1 - cup sugar
1/4- tsp baking powder
20 - dates-chopped
1/2 - cup chopped pecans
12 - soda crackers

Directions:
Directions:
Beat egg whites until stiff. Gradually add sugar, baking powder, and salt Mix in other ingredients. Pour into greased pie pan and bake in 350 degree oven for 20 minutes. Do not over bake. Wonderful hot or cold. Whipped cream or ice cream topping can be used, but is good plain.

My neighbor in San Angelo, Ruth Hull had this recipe. They were mine and Papa's age when we
lived there. Your Dad was in the 1st grade. It is an oldie and goodie.
