1 1/2 cup large raisins
1 1/2 cup dates
8 oz. mixed fruit
5 tablespoons shortening
2 cups sugar
2 cups boiling water
3 cups flour
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. cloves
2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 pound walnuts

Directions:
Directions:
Simmer gently raisins, dates, fruit, sugar, shortening and boiling water. When cool add the rest and bake 1 hour at 325 degrees.

I know this gets baked in a loaf pan, but I don't know how many loaves this recipe will make. One thing I've noticed on Mom's recipes--there are very few directions.
