7-8 Granny Smith Apples, peeled, cored, sliced thin
1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. each cinnamon and nutmeg
1 stick butter, melted
1 c. sugar
1 c. flour
1 egg

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350°. Butter a 10' pie plate. Combine apples, 1/2 c. sugar, cinnamon & nutmeg in a bowl. Place in pie plate. In a bowl, combine melted butter, 1 c. sugar & 1 c. flour and egg. Pour/pat on top of apple mixture. Place in oven for 1/2 hour; cover with foil and bake another 1/2 hour.

Note: The pie will most likely spill over in the oven, so be sure to use a drip pan under the pie plate such as a baking sheet.
