3 pints (9 c.) strawberries
1 - 3 1/2 oz. instant vanilla pudding
2 c. milk
1/4 c. Grand Marnier or orange juice
1 c. heavy cream
3 tbs. sugar
1 pound cake, frozen

Directions:
Refrigerate 2 c. strawberries for garnish. Rinse and hull reserved berries. Prepare pudding with milk. Finely mash 2 c. berries, halve the rest. Blend mashed berries into pudding. Cut the pound cake in half. Take each half and cut in half lengthwise. Slice each lengthwise half in 1/2' thick slices. Brush tops of cake slices with liqueur. Arrange about 1/4 of slices in bowl, cover with 1 c. halved berries and 3/4 c. pudding. Repeat 3 times. Cover and refrigerate overnight. Up to 3 hours before serving, beat heavy cream and sugar to soft peaks. Spread over trifle. Just before serving, rinse and hull reserved 2 c. berries and top the trifle.
