Vanilla wafers
2 or 3 bananas
3/4 c. sugar
Pinch of salt
3 T. cornstarch
3 eggs, separated
2 c. milk
1/4 stick margarine
1/2 t. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
In a deep dish place a layer of vanilla wafers. Next add a layer of sliced bananas. In a saucepan mix sugar, salt and cornstarch. Add beaten egg yolks, then milk and blend well. Cook on low heat until mixture is thick. Remove from heat. Add margarine and vanilla. Pour immediately on layer of wafers and banana slices. Repeat layering. Top with wafers or meringue.
