1 C. firmly packed brown sugar
1 C. butter or margarine, softened
1 C. (2 medium) shredded carrots
1 tsp. vanilla
1 egg
1 ½ C. flour
1 tsp. cinnamon
½ tsp. baking soda
2 ½ C. bran flakes cereal with raisins

Directions:
Directions:
Heat oven to 375 degrees. In large bowl, beat butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Add carrots, vanilla, and egg; blend well. Add flour, cinnamon and baking soda; mix well. Stir in cereal. Drop by teaspoonfuls 2 inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 9 – 14 minutes. Makes 5 ½ dozen cookies.
