6 potatoes
1/2 lb. grated swiss cheese
salt (to taste)
pepper (to taste)
onion powder or finely chopped onions (to taste)
margarine or liquid margarine
paprika

Directions:
Boil potatoes in skins. Peel when cool or next day. Grate on largest holes in grater. Grease casserole or baking dish. Put in a layer of grated potatoes and then a layer of grated swiss cheese. Season alternate layers with salt, pepper and onion powder or finely chopped onions. Finish top layer with potatoes. There should be 3 layers of potatoes and 2 layers of cheese. Sprinkle top with dots of margarine or liquid margarine and paprika. Bake uncovered at 350 degrees for 1 hour.

This casserole can be prepared the day before. Place it in the refrigerator and bake just before serving. It can also be prepared and frozen for future use. Any flavor of cheese can be used.
