1/3 cup shortening
1/2 cup peanut butter
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 cup flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 cup chopped nuts

Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortening and peanut butter. Add salt and vanilla. Add sugar gradually, then eggs, beating after each addition. Sift flour and baking powder together and add to creamed mixture. Fold in chopped nuts, which maybe eliminated if using crunchy peanut butter. Turn batter into buttered 7 x 11 pan. Bake at 325ºF for 25 minutes. Cool and frost with Peanut Butter Frosting.
