When I was very young and we were short of money my mother would make something called Meat Ball Stew...when it is cold or you are sick its
great.

1 pound of 80/20 hamburger, 6 cups water
1 large onion and 4 large potatoes
Start the water boiling and add the onion so it will flavor the stew. Let onion boil until clear...make small round meatballs with just the plain meat, and drop them in the boiling broth...this will cook for 30 minutes on a simmer, for the last 15 minutes add dice potatoes.
Now a big steaming bowl, and some butter bread
