8 rhubarb stalks
2 c water
3/4 c sugar
1 Tbsp cornstarch
1 lg can of pears in unsweetened juice
1 lemon -- zest
4 Tbsp grenadine or red currant juice
2 tsp cornstarch

Directions:
Directions:
Wash rhubarb, cut off both ends of each stalk. Slice into about 1" pieces.

Boil the water and sugar, then add the rhubarb and simmer until rhubarb is soft, then add the cornstarch and cook until thickened.

Warm pears in their juice with lemon zest & grenadine. Stir in the cornstarch and cook until thickened.

Pour rhubarb sauce over the pears sauce and serve warm or cool.
