1 cup butter
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
1/3 cup white sugar
1 pkg (3.4 oz) INSTANT vanilla pudding mix
2 eggs, slightly beaten
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 & 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
2 cups (12 oz) semisweet chocolate chips
Pecans or walnuts if desired

Cream butter & sugars. Add pudding mix, eggs & vanilla. Combine flour & baking soda; add to creamed mixture & mix well. Fold in chocolate chips and nuts. Drop by tablespoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bank 375º for 8-12 minutes or until lightly browned
