1/2 cup white sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 egg
1/2 cup shortening
1/2 cup peanut butter
1/2 tsp. vanilla
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/4 cups flour

Directions:
Directions:
Mix white sugar, brown sugar, and eggs. Add vanilla, shortening, peanut butter, baking powder, and salt. Mix well. Add flour.

Roll dough into balls about the size of walnuts. Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Flatten with a fork dipped in flour making a crisscross pattern on top of cookie. Bake at 375º for 8 minutes.
